“Toastmasters’ SPQRs is a corporate club based at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome.
Like many corporate clubs, SPQRs was initially intended for employees of the organization, still, it’s happy to host guests of our members.
The name of the club was proposed by one of the founder members and while most people think that it refers to the ancient Roman acronym, actually is a clever reference to one of the Toastmaster’s objectives, to form public SPQRs (speakers!).
