Impromptu speaking
Who has not been caught unprepared by a question? It can happen at work, during a course or in everyday social situations. You need to think quickly and give a convincing response. Although it may seem like a natural talent, impromptu speaking is a skill you can develop through practice.

Toastmasters meetings include a dedicated impromptu speaking session called Table Topics. One member prepares questions or topics; participants respond with a coherent one- or two-minute speech on a topic revealed on the spot.
This exercise helps you challenge yourself, overcome fears, practise techniques and prepare for unexpected speaking situations — while having fun.
